So what is a Digital fine art print?
All Digital fine art prints created by Not By Design are ‘original’ meaning that they were created specifically to be realised as a Digital fine art prints. They are not a copy or reproduction of a work that originated in another medium. These works have been purposely created to be a Digital Fine Art print only. We sometimes create only one, or we release the print as a limited edition. We do not offer any prints on demand. Once they’re gone they’re gone.

Not By Design use Ultrachrome® HDX technology to produce all our Digital fine art prints. These include up to 12 Aqueous all-pigment colours. As a result of the high number of inks, we can achieve superior colour arrays. We only print our artworks on archival quality fine art papers as they will not yellow over time. Our art prints retain tonality and hue meaning that the colours remain stable.

Many digital prints in the marketplace use inferior printing technologies which have a reduced number of colours and are much less precise. They are often printed on non-archival papers and as such have a much lesser lifespan and are more prone to rapid deterioration.

Taking care of your artwork
To maintain the quality and depth of colour of all artworks on paper it is widely recommend that you do not keep or hang in direct sunlight.

We want this artwork to bring you joy for years to come so we recommend professional framing. Our Digital Fine Art prints hold their colour intensity well and are fade resistant however for best protection of the work ask your local framer about UV protective glass or acrylic when obtaining a quote.
